People are the ever changing mysterious beings that I strive to understand and make sense of. As part of that quest,
I cherish any opportunity to see the people around for who they truly are. Even when I go places, it is always about the people in their
natural environment, being themselves. Dainius
Dainius was raised in Lithuania, formerly part of the Soviet Union. Educated as a scientist and well-versed in photography techniques, he only later in life discovered "the meditation of photography"; the other point of view, the different world perspective and the role of humanity in it. People remain his main focus.
Over time, Dainius has nurtured his skills, educating himself in Photoshop, composition and color theory.
In the last few years he has gone on to establish an art gallery in Cambridge, MA, and teach photography at an art camp in rural Vermont.
Dainius is a member of Boston Photography Center (bostonphotographycenter.com). His recent work was on display at the ArtMarket gallery in
Downtown Boston in February 2009. www.ArtMarketBoston.com, Uptown Espresso in South Boston, Vertex Pharmaceuticals among other places.
